Parámetros foliculares de tres regiones corporales y su relación con características de la fibra de alpaca (Vicugna pacos)

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar la relación de los parámetros foliculares en tres regiones corporales de alpacas Huacaya (Vicugna pacos) con el peso de vellón (PVS), diámetro de fibra (DF) y rendimiento al lavado (RL), según sexo y edad del animal. La muestra fue de 80 alpacas Huacaya de color blanco machos y hembras, dientes de leche, dos, cuatro dientes y boca llena procedentes del Distrito de Cotarusse, Apurimac. De estos se obtuvieron biopsias de piel y muestras de fibra en tres regiones corporales, las muestras de piel fueron procesadas por la técnica histológica procediéndose al conteo de folículos para determinar la densidad e índice folicular; por otro lado se obtuvo 10 g. aproximadamente de fibra la que fue pesada y lavada para determinar el rendimiento al lavado. Estas muestras fueron analizadas con el OFDA – 2000 para obtener el diámetro de fibra. Los datos fueron procesados a través del paquete estadístico SAS, estableciendo el ANOVA y la Prueba de comparación múltiple de Duncan para explicar las relaciones entre las variables estudiadas. Los resultados obtenidos son: Para el objetivo específico 1, no existen diferencias significativas entre la densidad e índice folicular respecto al sexo y la región corporal; el factor edad influye significativamente sobre la densidad e índice folicular (p<0.05), las alpacas de cuatro dientes presentan mayor densidad e índice folicular. Para el objetivo específico 2, La correlación entre el índice y densidad folicular es una relación positiva alta y significativa de 0.50207 (p<0.001).

The results obtained are: For specific objective 1, there are no significant differences between density and follicular index with respect to sex and body region; the age factor significantly influences the density and the follicular index (p< 0.05), the alpacas of four teeth show higher density and follicular index. For specific objective 2, the correlation between the index and follicular density is a high and significant positive relationship of 0.50207 (p< 0.001).
