Biografía
Ph.D, M.Sc. en Genética y Mejoramiento Plantas por la Universidad de São Paulo (USP) – Brasil. Ph.D Sandwich in Plant Biology - Institute of Science and Technology (IST-Austria). Con estancias de investigación en New Hampshire University – USA y Warwick University – UK. Formado en ingeniería agrónoma por la Universidad Nacional de San Martín – Tarapoto. Sus líneas de investigación se enfocan a la puesta en valor de los recursos genéticos de la agrobiodiversidad y sus componentes asociados. Utiliza herramientas de genética molecular, cultivo de tejidos vegetales, microscopia confocal, tráfico intracelular de proteínas, fisiología y bioquímica en plantas. Actualmente es Director General de Recursos Genéticos y Biotecnología del Instituto Nacional de Innovación Agraria (INIA).
